Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Lead Site Engineer to oversee the technical execution of major civil infrastructure projects. This fully remote role requires guiding site engineering teams, ensuring compliance with design specs, standards, and safety protocols, and driving quality across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, PrEng registration preferred, and at least 8 years of site supervision experience on large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• PrEng registration with ECSA is highly preferred.
• 8+ years of site supervision and management experience.
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water/wastewater).
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and digital collaboration tools.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage remote site teams effectively.
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to site engineering teams.
• Oversee civil site operations ensuring design and quality standards.
• Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and work procedures.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on sites.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
• Mentor junior site engineers and technicians.
• Maintain accurate site records, including reports and quality documentation.
• Perform QA checks and site inspections to verify conformity to specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of site engineering practices.
