Placements24 invites applications for a Lead Process Safety Engineer to oversee safety protocols within our client's Rustenburg operations in the North West. You will lead the implementation of robust process safety management systems to prevent incidents and protect personnel and the environment.

The role requires a minimum of 8 years in process safety, a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, and proven experience with HAZOP, LOPA, PHAs, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of experience in process safety engineering, preferably in oil & gas.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) systems.
• Lead PHAs such as HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If studies.
• Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver process safety training materials to personnel.
• Audit facilities and operations for compliance with PSM standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance to integrate safety into lifecycles.
