Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Information Security Engineer to join a fully remote team overseeing security operations that support a Kimberley presence. You will design, implement, and manage enterprise security solutions while mentoring engineers and advancing the organization’s defensive posture in a global digital landscape.

The role requires 8+ years in information security engineering with at least 3 in a lead capacity, strong cloud security expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP), and leadership abilities

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent extensive experience.
• 8+ years in information security engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead or management capacity.
• Expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-grade security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, IAM).
• Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust security systems and infrastructure.
• Mentor and guide a team of information security engineers, fostering best practices and technical excellence.
• Architect and deploy security solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
• Oversee incident response efforts, ensuring timely and thorough resolution of security breaches.
• Evaluate and integrate new security technologies to enhance the organization's defensive capabilities.
