Placements24 is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer to design and drive the secure architecture for a cutting-edge SaaS platform. This fully remote role leads a team of security engineers, shaping the security strategy and technology roadmap while collaborating across product, development, and operations.

A strong leader with cloud security expertise will elevate our security posture and governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in information security engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead or management capacity.
• Proven experience designing and implementing secure cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep understanding of security principles, cryptography, network security, and application security.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, vulnerability scanners, and EDR.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD security.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead a remote team.
• Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Relevant advanced security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, cloud security certifications) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Develop and enforce security engineering best practices and standards across the organization.
• Manage and mentor a team of information security engineers with technical guidance.
• Architect and implement IAM, encryption, network security, and vulnerability management.
• Oversee CI/CD security and secure coding practices.
• Lead incident response efforts for complex security incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to embed security across the product lifecycle.
• Evaluate and integrate new security technologies to enhance our security posture.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation and architectural diagrams.
• Stay ahead of emerging threats and regulatory requirements.
