Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to spearhead our security initiatives in a fully remote role. You will design, develop, and deploy security solutions, lead a small team, and protect our digital assets across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of cybersecurity experience, strong leadership, and hands‑on expertise in cloud security, SIEM, and threat management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity.
• 6+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Hands-on security tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for the organization.
• Oversee threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management programs.
• Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers, fostering continuous improvement.
• Drive the implementation of security controls across network, endpoint, identity, and data protection.
• Respond to and lead investigations of security incidents, ensuring swift resolution.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies to enhance posture.
• Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training programs.
