Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Lead HVAC Systems Engineer to drive design, development and optimization of advanced HVAC systems for commercial/industrial projects in South Africa. You will lead a remote team, deliver energy-efficient solutions, and ensure compliance with building codes and sustainability standards.

Requirements include a Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical or Building Services, PrEng eligibility, 8+ years of experience, and proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• PrEng registration or eligibility with ECSA is advantageous.
• 8+ years in HVAC design for complex commercial/industrial projects.
• Experience leading remote engineering teams.
• Expertise in HVAC load calculations and energy modeling (IES VE, EnergyPlus).
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Trace 700/3D Plus.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and green building certifications.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and specification of complex HVAC systems including AHUs, chillers, boilers, ductwork and controls.
• Conduct energy modeling to optimize efficiency and environmental impact.
• Develop innovative IAQ solutions and occupant comfort improvements.
• Oversee project lifecycle from design to commissioning and installation support.
• Mentor junior engineers and design teams remotely.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers and clients on integrated designs.
• Stay updated with codes and sustainability standards and apply them.
