The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 4 years’ HVAC experience, proficiency in HAP/TRACE 3D Plus,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in HVAC design.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software such as HAP or TRACE 3D Plus.
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Knowledge of SANS and ASHRAE codes and standards.
• Experience with energy modeling and sustainable design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems for various building types.
• Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection.
• Prepare detailed design documentation including drawings and specs.
• Conduct energy modeling to optimize efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers for coordinated designs.
• Review submittals and provide site support as required.
• Assist in proposals and client presentations.
• Stay updated on HVAC technologies and regulatory requirements.
