Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Civil Engineer with geotechnical specialization to join a fully remote team. You will lead investigations, designs and reports for major infrastructure projects, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers.

Required are a Master's/PhD in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in PLAXIS/GeoStudio, and strong communication for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of geotechnical project experience.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation design.
• Proficiency with PLAXIS and GeoStudio.
• Excellent report writing and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations, including soil testing and site characterization.
• Develop designs for foundations, retaining walls, tunnels, and earth structures.
• Prepare geotechnical reports and design documentation for review.
• Provide expert technical support to project teams and clients.
• Oversee QA of geotechnical data and designs.
• Mentor junior geotechnical engineers and technicians.
