Placements24 seeks a Lead Data Scientist to drive genomic data analysis in a fully remote R&D division. You will steer a team of data scientists and work closely with researchers to push the frontiers of genomic discovery.

You will architect ML models for genomic data, manage end-to-end cloud workflows, and mentor the team, while communicating complex results to diverse stakeholders across a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years in data science, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and programming (Python, R).
• Experience working with large-scale genomic datasets and bioinformatics tools.
• Proven ability to manage projects, mentor teams, and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of ML models for genomic data analysis.
• Oversee data science workflow from data acquisition to deployment in the cloud.
• Mentor and guide a team of data scientists for technical growth and delivery.
• Collaborate with researchers to define objectives and translate into data science strategies.
• Develop scalable solutions for analyzing genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data.
