Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Lead Software Architect to drive the design and evolution of cloud-native platforms. You will lead a globally distributed team, shape technical vision, and ensure scalable, secure software solutions across AWS/Azure/GCP.
Ideal candidates have 10+ years in software development with 5+ years in architecture or lead roles, strong microservices and containerization experience, and proven remote leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years in software development, with at least 5 years in architecture/lead role.
- Experience designing large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Expertise in microservices, containers, and API design.
- Strong DevOps, CI/CD, and remote leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and champion the software architecture for cloud-based products.
- Lead scalable, reliable microservices design and implementation.
- Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and tooling for cloud solutions.
- Mentor distributed engineering teams and promote best practices.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications with stakeholders.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices; ensure security.
- Contribute to architecture reviews and technical documentation.
