Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Senior Software Architect to define technical vision, establish architectural standards, and ensure scalability, reliability, and security across platforms. You will mentor engineers across time zones and shape the technical direction of our growing tech stack.

This fully remote role requires deep expertise in microservices, cloud-native patterns, and distributed systems, with hands-on capabilities in multiple languages and databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a software architecture role.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, cloud-native design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#) and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Design and document robust, scalable architectures for new and existing applications.
• Define technical standards, patterns, and best practices for development and deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance the stack.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams across time zones.
• Ensure security, performance, and reliability through architectural reviews and proactive measures.
