Placements24 is seeking a Remote Chemical Engineer for Research & Development. You will conceptualize, design, and pilot new chemical processes from a remote location, collaborating with R&D scientists across time zones to translate lab findings into industrial applications.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering with an R&D focus and 8+ years in process development, including DOE and process simulation. Remote, international teamwork and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering with R&D focus.
8+ years in chemical process R&D and scale-up.
Strong background in reaction engineering, thermodynamics and separation processes.
Proficiency with process simulation software and DOE.

Responsibilities

Lead development and scale-up of novel chemical processes from benchtop to pilot scale in a virtual R&D environment.
Conduct literature reviews, feasibility studies, and economic analyses for new process concepts.
Design and oversee pilot plant experiments with rigorous data collection and analysis.
Collaborate with global R&D teams to support new product development.
Prepare technical reports, patent applications, and project proposals for R&D initiatives.
Ensure all R&D activities comply with SHE regulations.
