Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field (Bioinformatics/Comp. Biology/CS/Statistics).
• 7+ years in bioinformatics research, handling large datasets.
• Proficiency in Python/R/Perl and shell scripting.
• Strong statistical and ML skills for biological data.
• Experience with bioinformatics tools, databases, and reference genomes.
• Experience leading remote research projects and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable bioinformatics pipelines for NGS data analysis.
• Apply advanced statistics and ML to uncover biological patterns.
• Collaborate with biologists/clinicians to translate questions into analyses.
• Create custom software/tools to support research goals and data processing.
• Stay current with genomics advances and integrate new methods into workflows.
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
