Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Remote Last-Mile Delivery Operations Lead to manage and optimize the final delivery leg across regions. This fully remote role focuses on ensuring timely, cost-effective deliveries and overseeing drivers, dispatchers, and partners.

You will develop KPIs, leverage delivery management software, and drive performance improvements while maintaining safety standards and coordinating with warehouse and customer service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a logistics/operations related field.
• 5+ years of experience in last-mile delivery operations or logistics management.
• Experience leading remote teams and coordinating with third-party providers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize all aspects of last-mile delivery operations, including route planning, scheduling, and driver management.
• Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor efficiency, delivery times, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage relationships with third-party delivery partners and independent contractors, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Leverage technology and delivery management software to enhance route optimization and real-time tracking.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and operational standards for all last-mile activities.
• Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end delivery experience.
• Develop strategies to improve delivery success rates and reduce delivery exceptions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in last-mile delivery to maintain a competitive edge.
• Provide leadership and support to remote teams and delivery personnel.
