Placements24 is seeking a remote Logistics & Dispatch Supervisor to lead driver teams and optimize delivery operations from a fully remote capacity. You will coordinate dispatches, monitor routes, and implement efficient strategies to ensure timely delivery across regions.

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential in a remote-first environment. This role emphasizes process improvement, adherence to safety policies, and collaboration with customer service and warehouse teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics coordination and remote supervision.
• Strong understanding of dispatch operations and routing software.

• Decision-making under pressure in complex logistics.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with South African transportation regulations is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is advantageous.
• Must pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch activities for a network of drivers remotely.
• Manage driver schedules, assignments, and performance monitoring using fleet management software.
• Develop and implement efficient routing strategies to optimize delivery times and minimize costs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support.
• Monitor delivery progress in real-time, proactively identifying and mitigating potential delays or disruptions.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and transportation laws.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, delivery logs, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and warehouse operations, to ensure seamless coordination.
• Implement and refine dispatch protocols to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Provide guidance and training to the dispatch team and drivers on best practices.
