Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Key Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of important clients in the Durban area. You will act as the primary point of contact, delivering exceptional service, and identifying upselling opportunities to sustain revenue and loyalty in KwaZulu-Natal.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in key account management, strong interpersonal and strategic thinking skills, and experience with CRM tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Key Account Management or similar client-facing sales role.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CRM software and account management tools.
• Demonstrated success in retention and growth targets for assigned accounts.
• Familiarity with the Durban business environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and nurture a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of client retention and satisfaction.
• Develop and execute account growth plans, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our client's products/services.
• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Monitor client account health and proactively identify potential risks or challenges.
