Placements24 is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to grow major retail accounts across the Eastern Cape from a remote setup. You will develop strategic plans, negotiate shelf space, and drive sales while maintaining strong relationships with senior decision-makers.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years FMCG/KAM experience, a business degree, and proven ability to travel regionally. You will collaborate with marketing, supply chain and finance to deliver profitable growth and ensure brand

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Key Account Management or senior sales in FMCG/retail.
• Proven success managing large retail accounts and achieving targets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising and trade marketing.
• Able to work independently in remote setting and travel regionally.
• Proficient with CRM software and MS Office.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Based in or tied to the Eastern Cape region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic account plans for key retail accounts to drive sales and profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in retail organizations.
• Negotiate shelf space, promotions, pricing, and contracts to maximize sales.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze market data, and identify trends.
• Ensure optimal product placement, inventory and merchandising in outlets.
• Collaborate with marketing, supply chain and finance for seamless execution.
• Present product information, sales performance reviews, and strategic proposals.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and maintain high satisfaction.
• Stay informed about competitor activity and market trends.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
