Placements24 is seeking a Junior Legal Advisor for a fully remote role across South Africa. The position focuses on drafting, reviewing, and advising on commercial contracts, while supporting regulatory compliance and providing legal support to internal teams.

Qualifications

LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification.
Admitted as an Attorney or Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
0-3 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law or contract law.
Strong contract drafting and review principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and amend commercial agreements (service, supply, NDAs, leases).
Provide clear legal advice to internal stakeholders on contracts and commercial matters.
Conduct legal research on applicable laws and regulations.
Assist in managing litigation and dispute resolution with Senior Legal Counsel.
Maintain contract management systems and legal databases.
Ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored legal solutions.
Assist in developing and delivering legal training to staff.
