Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa or an LLB holder.
• 0–2 years post-qualification experience in corporate compliance/regulatory law.
• Familiarity with POPIA and SA corporate law.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with standard office software and legal research tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing company-wide compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor changes in legislation and assess impact on the business.
• Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits to ensure policy adherence.
• Investigate potential compliance breaches and help develop corrective actions.
• Provide general legal support to business units on compliance matters.
• Prepare compliance reports for management and regulators as required.
• Support the Legal team in day-to-day legal and compliance activities.
• Maintain records and documentation related to compliance activities.
