Job summary

Jobgether seeks a senior IT Automation & Platform Engineer for a partner company in South Africa. This fully remote role drives transformation of internal IT into a scalable, automated, developer-friendly platform.

You will architect and operate the business systems ecosystem, building APIs, internal tools, and AI-powered workflows that streamline global teams while enforcing security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT engineering or platform engineering with 3+ years owning internal business systems and automation in SaaS/tech.
• Strong production-grade automation, integrations, and internal tooling in Python, Go, and Bash.
• Hands-on AWS and GCP operations (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3).
• Deep API/integration engineering with REST/GraphQL, OAuth, webhooks, and SDKs.
• Experience with SSO/SAML/SCIM and Zero Trust models; security/compliance focus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and improve the internal business systems ecosystem across Salesforce, HubSpot, billing, HR, and engineering tools.
• Design reliable workflows and data sync across multiple SaaS platforms.
• Build automation tooling and internal services with Python, Go, Bash, and related tech.
• Develop internal CLI tools, dashboards, and ChatOps integrations to boost IT operations.
• Create API-driven integrations using REST/GraphQL, OAuth, and webhooks; automate provisioning and access controls.
