Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Intellectual Property Attorney to join its fully remote legal team. You will manage the IP lifecycle—from prosecution and registration to enforcement and litigation—protecting patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets for a globally oriented company.

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney specializing in Intellectual Property Law.
• Minimum 7 years of IP prosecution, transactions, and/or litigation.
• Strong technical background in a relevant science/engineering field advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of patent, trademark, and copyright law in key jurisdictions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to thrive in an independent, remote work setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prosecute patent, trademark, and copyright applications globally.
• Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
• Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements, such as licenses, assignments, and R&D collaborations.
• Advise on IP strategy, portfolio management, and competitive landscape analysis.
• Represent the company in IP litigation, opposition proceedings, and dispute resolution matters.
• Monitor for and address potential IP infringements.
