Placements24 is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Lawyer to join a fully remote legal department. The role focuses on protecting patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, and providing strategic IP counsel on transactions and disputes.

You will manage global IP portfolios, draft and prosecute applications, and represent the company in IP litigation while staying up to date with evolving IP laws and trends. This position offers autonomy and the flexibility of remote work.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience focused specifically on intellectual property law.
• Expertise in patent, trademark, and copyright law, with experience in drafting and prosecuting applications.
• Strong understanding of IP licensing and IP litigation.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage client relationships in a remote setting.

Responsibilities
