Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and tech-savvy Remote Inventory Management Specialist to join its virtual operations team in South Africa. This fully remote role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory data across multiple warehouses, forecasting demand, and optimizing reorder points to prevent stockouts and overstock.

You will analyze stock movement, generate reports, and collaborate with procurement and sales, using ERP and inventory software.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in inventory management or related logistics roles.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory records across multiple warehouses using inventory software.
• Monitor stock levels and investigate discrepancies.
• Forecast demand and determine optimal reorder points.
• Reduce holding costs and prevent obsolescence.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales for stock replenishment.
• Generate reports on status, turnover, and valuation.
• Identify and implement process improvements in inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies related to inventory control.
