Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a fully remote Inventory Management Specialist to optimize stock across stores and distribution centers. You will analyze levels, forecast demand, and implement strategies to reduce carrying costs and prevent stockouts.

This role supports nationwide store networks and requires strong data analysis and ERP system experience. The ideal candidate has proven experience in inventory management within retail, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, demand forecasting, and replenishment strategies.
• Experience with inventory management software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze inventory levels across the entire supply chain to ensure optimal stock quantities.
• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to reduce carrying costs and improve turnover rates.
• Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Utilize inventory management software and reporting tools to track stock movements, forecast demand, and plan replenishment.
• Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to align inventory levels with sales forecasts and promotional activities.
• Identify and address slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Implement best practices for stock rotation, warehousing, and stockroom organization.
• Generate regular reports on inventory performance, including key metrics such as stock levels, fill rates, and obsolescence.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Support the implementation and optimization of new inventory management technologies.
