Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Warehouse Inventory Control Specialist to support our Durban-based warehouse operations remotely. The role focuses on ensuring inventory data accuracy, implementing robust control procedures, and resolving discrepancies with a proactive mindset.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in inventory control or logistics, strong experience with WMS/ERP, and excellent analytical skills.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or related logistics.
Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all locations using the WMS.
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to identify discrepancies.
Investigate root causes of variances and implement corrective actions.
Generate inventory reports including stock aging and turnover rates.
Maintain FEFO for perishable or date-sensitive goods.
Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient receiving and fulfillment.
Maintain organized records including batch and serial numbers.
