Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk for remote operations in a growing e-commerce environment. You will manage stock levels, conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and keep inventory data reliable across systems.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with inventory software, and excellent organizational abilities. You will collaborate virtually with warehouse and purchasing teams to optimize inventory flow and reporting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control or stocktaking.
• Proficiency with inventory software and MS Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivots).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to verify stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical counts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Track the movement of goods into and out of inventory.
• Generate inventory reports, including stock levels, aging inventory, and valuation.
• Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and policies.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and report findings to management.
• Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
• Monitor stockroom organization and cleanliness to facilitate accurate counting.
• Support month-end and year-end inventory closing procedures.
