Job summary

Kontak Recruitment is seeking an International Payroll Coordinator for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will collate payroll data, quality-check submissions and coordinate with in-country partners across Europe to ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing for international clients.

You will communicate with clients via email and Teams, handle journal entries, and support HR and employment law coordination, with a focus on execution, judgement and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Accounting, finance, tax or payroll qualification required.
• CIMA/SAIPA/AGA/CA advantageous but not essential.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in payroll, accounting or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for international clients accurately and on time.
• Understand payroll tax structures across countries.
• Check payroll data and payment files for completeness.
• Prepare journal entries for payroll transactions.
• Communicate with clients via email and Teams to gather information and follow up.
• Coordinate with in-country partners across European and international markets.
