Job summary

TrudyQ Consulting in Cape Town seeks an Internal Compliance Audit Officer to independently manage and execute the CMP across licensed markets. You will develop testing schedules, identify regulatory deficiencies, and oversee remediation while supporting AML/CFT assurance and regulatory reporting.

The role requires 3–5 years in Internal Audit/Risk/Compliance with strong data analytics and CAATs proficiency. Remote/flexi hours apply, with 45 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Matric/NQF4 with completed degree in related field (e.g. BCom, LLB) or professional certifications such as CIA/CISA/CFE.
• 3–5 years' experience in Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance; iGaming or financial services preferred.
• Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FICA, FAIS, Companies Act).
• Proficiency in data analytics, CAATs and ERP/audit software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Working hours: Remote & Flexi hours (45 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP) and testing calendar.
• Conduct risk-based testing against jurisdictional licensing standards; identify gaps and remediation.
• Support AML/CFT assurance and regulatory reporting, including STR submissions.
• Provide regular reporting on findings, trends, and remediation progress.
• Continuously improve CMP based on regulatory changes and emerging risks.
