Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Compliance Officer for a fully remote role supporting Paarl-based entities. You will develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs within the financial services sector, conduct risk assessments and audits, and guide business units to uphold regulatory integrity.

The position requires a law/finance background with 6+ years in compliance or risk management, strong SA regulation knowledge, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

About the Role

You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing expert guidance to business units across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and controls.

• Lead investigations into alleged compliance violations and recommend effective corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in a compliance, legal, or risk management role, ideally within the banking or financial services industry .
• Extensive knowledge of relevant South African financial regulations and international compliance standards.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, capable of articulating complex requirements clearly.
