Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to specialize in complex, niche lines. This fully remote role demands strong risk assessment and the ability to set premium terms that balance profitability with broker and client needs.

You will analyze professional indemnity, cyber liability, and construction all risks, price risks, underwrite submissions and renewals, and collaborate with brokers to shape policy terms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in insurance underwriting with specialist or complex lines.
• Proven ability to price diverse risks using sound judgment.
• ACII or FLMI qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex risks in specialist lines (e.g., professional indemnity, cyber, construction all risks).
• Determine coverage levels, terms, and premium rates based on risk evaluation.
• Underwrite new business and renewals per guidelines and appetite.
• Build and maintain broker relationships; provide underwriting support.
• Monitor portfolio performance and adjust strategy as needed.
• Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes.
