Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial lines underwriting.
• Ability to underwrite complex risks and maintain a profitable book.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration with brokers.
• ACII or CIP qualifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite new and renewal commercial insurance applications, evaluating risks and pricing terms.
• Develop and maintain broker/agent relationships to support retention and growth.
• Analyze market trends and loss data to inform underwriting strategies.
• Contribute to underwriting guidelines, products, and rating tools.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial and sales teams for cohesive risk management.
