Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, implement, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems across diverse industrial processes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical or Chemical Engineering, 5+ years' experience, and hands-on PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell) with DCS exposure. Strong problem-solving and remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of instrumentation and control experience.
Proven PLC programming and configuration experience (Siemens, Rockwell).
Experience with DCS is highly desirable.
Knowledge of sensors and instrumentation types (flow, pressure, temp, level).
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Modbus).

Responsibilities

Design and select instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, analyzers) for process applications.
Develop control strategies and logic for PLCs and DCS.
Configure, calibrate, and commission instrumentation and control systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and control loop issues.
Develop and maintain P&IDs, loop diagrams, and specifications.
Collaborate with process engineers and operations to optimize performance.
Ensure instrumentation/control systems meet safety and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.
Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams.
Stay updated on new technologies and best practices.
