Placements24 is seeking a Remote Technical Support Specialist to provide critical installation support for customers in Mossel Bay and surrounding areas. You will guide customers and installers through setup, configuration, and initial troubleshooting of equipment, while documenting steps in the CRM and contributing to knowledge bases.

The ideal candidate has a technical diploma or degree (or equivalent), at least 3 years in technical support or installations, and strong networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years in technical support or installations.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote installation and setup support for company products.
• Troubleshoot installation issues including software configuration, network connectivity, and hardware problems.
• Document customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the CRM system.
• Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and FAQs related to installation procedures and common problems.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or engineering teams, with detailed information.
• Monitor customer feedback and identify trends or recurring issues to inform product improvements.
