Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Information Security Officer to lead our information security program. This role involves developing policies, implementing controls, and overseeing compliance in a fast-paced fintech environment.

The position emphasizes incident response, security awareness, and collaboration with product and IT teams, with full remote work and international scope.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in CS, InfoSec or related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• 4–6 years in information security with policy and risk management expertise.
• Experience building and operating information security programs.
• Familiar with ISO 27001, NIST and financial data compliance.

Mansioni

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Oversee security controls to protect assets and data from threats.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate incident response activities including investigations and remediation.
• Ensure compliance with POPIA, PCI DSS and data protection laws.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training for all staff.
• Monitor security systems and advise on upgrades or changes.
• Collaborate with tech teams to integrate security into product and IT operations.
• Stay updated on cyber threats and emerging technologies.
• Serve as primary point of contact for information security matters.
