Placements24 is seeking a seasoned and strategic Remote Information Security Manager to lead cybersecurity initiatives and manage the SOC from anywhere, supporting Mossel Bay operations.

This leadership role develops and executes a comprehensive security strategy, builds a distributed team, ensures protection of information assets, complies with regulations, and fosters a strong security culture through awareness and training.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Information Security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing SOCs and incident response teams.
• Expert knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Remote Information Security Manager to lead their cybersecurity initiatives and manage their security operations center (SOC) from anywhere, supporting their business presence in Mossel Bay . This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive security strategy, managing a team of security professionals, and ensuring the protection of the organization's information assets against cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security leadership, a deep understanding of threat landscapes, and the ability to drive security best practices across a distributed workforce. This is a fully remote position focused on building and maintaining a resilient security posture.

Key Responsibilities
