Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Information Security Architect to lead design and implementation of advanced security solutions in a remote-first environment. You will define security architecture strategy and work with cross-functional teams that may be based in East London.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud, network, identity and data protection, plus strong leadership, threat modeling, and risk assessment capabilities. Advanced security certifications are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Advanced security certifications are strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive information security experience with architecture focus.
• Deep expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data protection.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the enterprise information security architecture across cloud, network, and application layers.
• Establish security standards, guidelines, and best practices for technology solutions.
• Evaluate and select security technologies and tools to meet needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, development, and operations to embed security in the lifecycle.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new projects and systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security teams.
• Develop and maintain security architecture documentation and roadmaps.
