Placements24 is seeking a Senior Security Architect to design, build and sustain a secure IT infrastructure in a fully remote capacity supporting operations near Richards Bay. You will lead secure design across cloud and on‑prem environments, shaping standards and providing architectural guidance while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years IT security experience, 5+ years in security architecture.
• Proven experience designing secure solutions for complex distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of network, application security, cryptography, and identity management.
• Experience with security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and threat modeling.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and document secure enterprise IT architectures, ensuring security from the ground up.
• Develop and enforce security standards for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Evaluate security technologies and solutions, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
• Lead security reviews for new projects and provide architectural guidance.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure secure deployments.
• Develop and maintain security architecture roadmaps aligned with strategy and threats.
