Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Industrial Process Engineer to drive operational improvements for its facilities, including those in Richards Bay. This fully remote role lets you analyze, design, and optimize manufacturing processes from anywhere, applying lean, six-sigma, and SPC best practices.

You will collaborate with global teams, develop SOPs, and lead data-driven initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality while maintaining strong remote communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Proficiency in process modeling software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Design and implement new process flows, equipment modifications, and strategies to boost productivity and quality.
• Develop and document SOPs and best practices for manufacturing operations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed changes.
• Collaborate with on-site operations teams and stakeholders via virtual tools.
• Monitor process performance metrics and sustain continuous improvement.
