Placements24 is seeking an innovative Industrial Engineer in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will design and simulate new manufacturing processes, using Arena/AnyLogic/FlexSim to predict performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize layouts for efficiency and throughput.
The role requires a master's degree and at least 5 years' experience in process design and simulation, with strong analytical and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related quantitative field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, focusing on process design and simulation.
- Expert proficiency in leading process simulation software packages and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent technical drawing and documentation abilities; able to translate requirements into designs.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and design new industrial processes and manufacturing systems.
- Utilize simulation software (Arena/AnyLogic/FlexSim) to model flows, resources, and throughput.
- Validate models against data or benchmarks and optimize layouts for performance.
- Develop recommendations and create detailed process documentation and layouts.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and operations teams for implementation.
- Present concepts and results to stakeholders with clear explanations.
