Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Maintenance Technician to support Richards Bay area operations entirely from a remote location. You will provide expert remote troubleshooting, guidance to on-site technicians, and remote diagnostics to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

You will analyze performance data, interpret schematics, and develop remote maintenance procedures. This role offers a fully remote arrangement and access to advanced diagnostic tools to support field

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
Strong ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Excellent remote communication skills and ability to guide on-site teams remotely.
Proficiency with video conferencing and remote diagnostic tools.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Responsibilities

Provide expert remote technical support and guidance for troubleshooting and repair of industrial machinery.
Analyze machine performance data and diagnostic reports to identify root causes of failures.
Guide on-site maintenance teams through complex repair procedures via remote communication.
Develop and update maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guides for remote use by field teams.
Monitor equipment status remotely and recommend proactive maintenance actions.
Maintain detailed records of remote support interactions and equipment performance.
