Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Industrial Maintenance Technician to support Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, entirely from a remote location. You will guide on-site technicians, provide remote diagnostics, and ensure plant equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial maintenance, with experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and strong remote communication skills using video conferencing and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with complex machinery.
Strong ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Excellent remote communication skills with video conferencing proficiency.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support and guidance for the troubleshooting and repair of industrial machinery.
Analyze machine performance data and diagnostic reports to identify root causes of failures or inefficiencies.
Guide on-site maintenance teams through complex repair procedures and preventive maintenance tasks via remote communication channels.
Develop and update maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guides for remote access and use by field teams.
Monitor equipment status remotely and recommend proactive maintenance actions.
Maintain detailed records of remote support interactions, resolutions, and equipment performance.
