Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize supply chain and logistics processes from a remote location, supporting operations around Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and leveraging data-driven methods to improve service delivery.

You will analyze processes, simulate scenarios, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement scalable improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in industrial engineering with a strong focus on supply chain and logistics optimization.
• Experience with process analysis, modeling, and simulation software (AnyLogic, Arena).
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (R, Python, Minitab).
• Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Utilize simulation modeling and data analytics to predict outcomes and test optimization strategies.
• Design and standardize workflows and SOPs for logistics operations.
• Collaborate remotely with stakeholders across logistics, warehouse, and external partners.
• Develop KPIs to monitor performance and identify trends.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
