You will analyze processes, simulate scenarios, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement scalable improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in industrial engineering with a strong focus on supply chain and logistics optimization.
• Experience with process analysis, modeling, and simulation software (AnyLogic, Arena).
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (R, Python, Minitab).
• Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and remote collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

About the Role

Our client, a growing entity within the supply chain and logistics sector, is seeking an innovative Industrial Engineer to join their team remotely, supporting operations based in and around Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This fully remote role is designed for a professional adept at optimizing complex supply chain networks, enhancing logistical efficiency, and implementing data-driven solutions. You will analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to reduce costs, minimize lead times, and improve overall service delivery. This position requires a highly analytical and self-motivated individual who can thrive in a remote work environment and make a significant impact on our client's operational performance from anywhere in the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Utilize simulation modeling and data analytics to predict outcomes and test optimization strategies.
• Design and standardize workflows and standard operating procedures for logistics operations.
• Collaborate remotely with various stakeholders, including logistics managers, warehouse staff, and external partners.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance and identify trends.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings, recommendations, and project progress for senior management.
• Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration within the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to strategic planning for future supply chain enhancements and expansions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on supply chain and logistics optimization.
• Proven experience with process analysis, modeling, and simulation software (e.g., AnyLogic, Arena).
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Minitab).
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently in a remote setting.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• A results-oriented mindset with a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
• Understanding of inventory management techniques and demand forecasting.
