Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced and innovative Remote Industrial Engineer with a strong focus on automation and systems integration. The role supports our global operations from a home office, coordinating with on-site teams and vendors to design, evaluate, and implement automated solutions that improve productivity, safety, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 6 years in industrial engineering, a degree in Industrial/Electrical/CS, and proven expertise in PLC programming,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering with significant focus on automation, robotics, or systems integration.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automated solutions in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of control systems, PLC programming, SCADA, and MES.
• Excellent remote communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage projects in a distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated systems and workflows for manufacturing and operations, focusing on efficiency and scalability.
• Evaluate manual processes and identify opportunities for automation using robotics, AI, and other technologies.
• Develop technical specifications, functional requirements, and project plans for automation initiatives.
• Collaborate remotely with on-site engineering teams, IT specialists, and vendors for implementation and integration.
• Conduct feasibility studies, ROI analyses, and risk assessments for automation projects.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automated systems to maximize uptime and reliability.
