Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Automation Specialist to drive design, deployment, and optimization of automated systems for manufacturing facilities. This fully remote role requires self-motivation and collaboration with on-site teams, delivering PLC/HMI/SCADA, and robotics solutions to enhance production efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

You will design, configure, and maintain control systems, stay current with the latest automation technologies, and ensure safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• ≥6 years in industrial automation and control systems.
• Proficiency in PLC platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi) and HMI/SCADA.
• Knowledge of EtherNet/IP and Profinet networks.
• Strong remote communication and project management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions including PLC, HMI/SCADA, and robotics.
• Provide remote technical support, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for uptime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, PMs, and vendors to define automation requirements.
• Develop and maintain control logic, schematics, and user manuals.
• Stay updated on automation tech and recommend improvements.
• Ensure safety standards and best practices for automated control systems.
