Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Process Automation. You will analyze production lines, identify automation opportunities, and design, implement, and optimize automated solutions for diverse manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on process automation and control systems.
Proven experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and robotics (Fanuc, KUKA).
Strong understanding of industrial networks, SCADA and HMI development.
Experience with automation design validation using simulation software is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; capable of remote independent work.

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
Design and develop automation strategies including hardware/software selections.
Develop P&ID diagrams, control logic, and user interfaces for automated systems.
Program and configure PLCs, robots, and automation equipment from various manufacturers.
Oversee installation, commissioning, testing, and remote support of automated systems.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
Develop documentation including user manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
