Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer specializing in automation and robotics to join a fully remote role. You will analyze manufacturing processes, identify automation opportunities, and design, implement, and optimize robotic systems to boost productivity, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial engineering with a focus on automation and robotics.
• Proven design, implementation and troubleshooting of automated systems.
• Proficiency in robotic programming languages (FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience with CAD for robotic cell design and layout.
• Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, and machine vision.
• Analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Remote collaboration and strong communication skills.
• Experience with Industry 4.0 and IoT integration is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assess operations to identify automation and robotics opportunities.
• Design and develop automated systems including robotic cells, PLCs, and HMI.
• Select robotics technologies based on project cost-benefit analysis.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows for automated lines.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and testing of systems.
• Program and troubleshoot robotic arms and automation equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation.
• Develop validation and verification procedures for automated systems.
• Train operations and maintenance staff on new equipment.
• Stay updated on robotics, automation and AI in manufacturing.
