Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Engineer specializing in Process Automation to design, develop, and implement automated manufacturing systems from anywhere in South Africa. The role emphasizes independent work within a virtual team to drive efficiency, quality, and cost reductions across diverse clients.

The ideal candidate has a strong automation background, hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics (FANUC, KUKA), and SCADA, and a proactive approach to Industry 4.0.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or related field with automation focus.
• 4–6 years in industrial engineering with strong process automation specialization.
• Proven experience in designing/implementing automation using PLCs, robotics (FANUC, KUKA) and SCADA.
• Proficiency in automation software, simulation tools and CAD packages.
• Strong problem-solving, independence and remote-work capability.
• Experience with AI, ML and data analytics in manufacturing is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and implement automated manufacturing systems and processes.
• Analyze production lines to identify automation opportunities and efficiency gains.
