Job summary

Placements24 is searching for an experienced HR Policy Advisor to join our fully remote team. The role focuses on developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies aligned with strategic objectives and compliant with South African employment law.

You will provide expert policy interpretation and support across the organization, staying updated on changes in labour law to shape fair and consistent employment practices remotely.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR with a focus on policy development and interpretation.
• Extensive knowledge of South African labour laws and regulations (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, etc.).
• Proven ability to draft clear, concise, and legally sound HR policies.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex policies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop, draft, and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
• Provide expert advice and interpretation of HR policies to HR colleagues, management, and employees.
• Conduct regular reviews of existing policies to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
• Assist in the implementation and communication of new or revised HR policies.
• Monitor changes in labour laws and industry best practices, recommending policy adjustments.
• Support the development and delivery of training programs on HR policies and procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, or related field
