Hoteljobs is seeking a visionary Remote Head Chef to lead catering culinary operations from a remote location, shaping menus, overseeing food quality, and managing kitchen teams across events serviced from Bloemfontein and surrounding areas. Design diverse menus, maintain high standards of hygiene and safety, control costs, and train staff remotely.

Collaborate with event coordinators to ensure client requirements are met while leveraging technology to sustain quality.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as Head Chef or Executive Chef in catering.
• Proven ability to lead kitchen teams and manage remote staff.
• Strong skills in menu design, food costing, and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute diverse, high-quality menus for various catering events, considering seasonal ingredients and client preferences.
• Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards.
• Manage kitchen staff remotely, providing clear direction, training, and performance feedback.
• Control food costs, manage inventory, and ensure efficient procurement of ingredients.
• Implement and maintain rigorous food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate with event coordinators to ensure culinary requirements are met and exceeded.
• Stay abreast of culinary trends and innovations to continuously elevate the catering offerings.
